AgricultureRoundtable
NICF sparked meaningful conversations at Future Fest 2024 through a successful agriculture roundtable discussion titled "The Here and Now of Agritech in Pakistan." Moderated by Zeeshan Shahid, Project Director at NIC Faisalabad, and Fouad Bajwa, CEO and Co-founder of Agriculture Republic, the session featured representatives from FFC, Syngenta Seeds, Deosai Ventures, Farmdar, SMEDA, National Foods Limited, Fauji Fresh n Freeze Limited, Agriculture Republic, Digital Dera, Helvetas Swiss, Accelerate Prosperity, Rizq, The Farmette, Viamo, Zarai Mandi, and Farming Development Academy.
We hope to continue our efforts in promoting the opportunities in the agricultural landscape of Pakistan, finding solutions, and supporting Agritech to boost our economy.
Startup Spotlight
Outshining 700 applicants, Raees Ur Rehman, Founder of NICF startup Royella Trading Company, has won 0.5 million at the Green Enovate Waste Conference, part of the Prime Minister Green Youth Program 2024. He also had the privilege of presenting his innovative idea to H.E. Donald Blome, the U.S. Ambassador in Pakistan.

Azhar Iqbal, Founder and CEO of RankSol.

Learning &Development
Our workshop, 'Bridging the Future with Blockchain & AI', in collaboration with FITCO, featured insights from industry leaders Mirza Usman, CEO at NetixSol, and M. Awais Zaidi, CEO at Slick Starter. Participants gained insights into decentralised AI, technical integrations, tools/frameworks, and strategies to navigate the tech landscape.
Ubaid Afzal, Founder of TecBeck, recently led a session on 'Hiring and Team Building' for startups at NIC Faisalabad. Founders explored strategies for defining the ideal skill set, fostering team culture, and attracting skilled professionals for success.
We had the pleasure of hosting Samar Hasan, the Founder of Epiphany, for an exclusive two-day Pitch Deck Development and Practice Workshop at NICF. The session was hands-on, allowing startups to engage in one-on-one discussions with Samar. It provided a valuable opportunity for founders to learn from her experience and prepare for pitching their ideas to investors.

We had an exciting day at NIC Faisalabad, welcoming aspiring entrepreneurs, students, startups, founders, and researchers to our Open House event. We shared the incredible offerings that NICF has and how it can be a game-changer for founders looking to elevate their ventures. Our team personally guided attendees through the application process, ensuring a smooth experience, and provided an insightful tour of our state-of-the-art facility.
Gather & Grow
We were thrilled to have Habib Ur Rehman, Marketing Director at Mohsin Younis Textiles, join NICF's 3rd edition of Gather and Grow. In a captivating session on "Refining Your Niche for Better Target Marketing," participants explored B2B marketing and sales, gaining practical strategies to refine their niche and optimise target marketing efforts.

Academic collaboration is crucial to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs, and with that goal in mind, we conducted NICF Cohort 4 outreach sessions in universities across Faisalabad.
